Is the treatment permanent?

Yes. We cannot stop our aging process but we can continue anti aging treatments to rejuvenate the skin by removing old skin and promoting increased collagen

to tighten the skin revealing fresher underlying skin with less hyperpigmentation, less wrinkles and increased tightness to sagging skin.

 

Is there downtime?

No physical downtime is needed but small red/brown dots of carbon crusts similar to a scab form and slogh off during day 5-7.

 

How do I care for my skin during healing?

By day 10 most all crusts have fallen off revealing young, slightly pink, fresh new skin.

It is important to protect your new skin with high quality sunblock such as OBAGI.(sold at SKINTALIZE) A total rejuvenation happens over 8-12 weeks as the skin continues to tighten with

increased collagen through the healing process. increased tightening happens during this time and can continue for up to 12 weeks.

The treatment is permanent and results can last from 2-5 years.

Gentle cleanser, healing salve and gel will be provided. It is important to cleanse by patting. do not rub, pick, scratch ot remove carbon crusts prematurely. This can lead to scarring.

 

Does the treatment hurt?

It can feel tender and sensitive and warm/hot like a sunburn. A minimal amount of discomfort can be experienced so a strong numbing cream is applied before and during the procedure.
